About Riverdale

       We still have three teachers at Riverdale who have been teaching here ever since the beginning. First, there's Mrs. Hill, who was known as Ms. Cissna for some time. She has always taught English here at Riverdale. There is also Judy Collins who started as a PE teacher and is now one of our Technical Specialists. The other teacher is Mr. Minni, who joined the Riverdale faculty when the school doors opened at our current site. He has always taught science at Riverdale and has been involved with coaching. We are very proud that they are still with us and hope they will continue to inspire our future generations for years to come.

      The beginning of the first two years of Riverdale started at the present day site of Dunbar High School. Riverdale was located there for about two years while the present site was being constructed. Jack Hogg was the principal for those two years.

      The school year of 1972-1973 at our current location was guided by Mr. "Mike" Prymas who was the principal for that first year. He also helped design and construct our school. Our next principal was Mr. James Middlebrooks, who was also assistant principal for some time here at Riverdale.
