Program Overview

Launching in the Fall of 2026, the "Little Raiders" learning lab is a unique educational environment at Riverdale High School. This program is designed to provide high school students with hands-on career experience while offering preschoolers a nurturing, educational start to their development.

Our Philosophy

Every child is unique. We utilize current strategies based on National Association of Early Childhood Education best practices to prepare preschoolers for Kindergarten success, focusing on social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Enrollment Basics

  • 📅 Start Date: Sept 1, 2026
  • 🕒 Hours: Tue – Fri | 8:00am - 11:15am
  • 🎂 Age: Must be 3-4 years old
  • 🚽 Requirement: Completely Potty Trained
  • 🏫 Calendar: Follows LCSD Schedule

Course Sequence

Early Childhood Education I: Theoretical foundations including Child Growth, Florida Law, and Behavior Observation.

ECE II - IV: Lab experience operating the preschool under the direction of Mrs. Willis. (Requires DCF Certification).

Program Designation

"Little Raiders Preschool Lab" is an elective class at Riverdale High School. It is not a VPK, licensed daycare, or babysitting service. It serves as a Career and Technical learning lab for students aspiring to careers in education, medicine, or psychology.
