Bright Futures Scholarship Information

--NEWS UPDATE - Bright Futures Scholarship--

In March 2018 Governor Scott signed a higher-education bill (SB 4) that will permanently expand Bright Futures merit-based scholarships for university and state college students. The bill will cover 100 percent of tuition and fees for students who qualify as Bright Futures “academic scholars” and provide $300 for the fall and spring semesters for textbooks.
The legislation expands state aid to cover 75 percent of tuition and fees, representing $159 out of the average $211 per credit-hour cost, for students who qualify as Bright Futures “medallion scholars.”
The Medallion Scholarship is currently $77 per credit hour, it will increase to $159 per credit hour starting next school year.
